Description	We found Tom Cat earlier this week and have already posted him on here as FOUND. This time, we are posting in the hopes of finding someone who can foster or give him a good home. We found out today that he tested positive for both FeLV and FIV. And we are desperate to find him a new home without cats (we already have 2). Tom Cat is a 2-3 year old male cat who can be summed up in one word: SWEET. He’s also a curious, energetic, friendly, vocal boy. He is not neutered and has front/back claws. Tom’s Story We found Tom outside earlier this week, and he was pleased to have found us. The feeling was mutual. He took up residence in our bathroom to keep him separate from the two cats we already had. Never before have I wanted to spend so much time in the bathroom! Tom Cat loves company and greets you happily each time you visit him. He rolls over for a belly rub and likes to show off his playing skills. He’s also a pro with the litterbox. He has all of his claws, but is also a pro at the scratching post. We posted signs both in the real world and online, but have not been able to locate his owners. Deciding that we’d keep him if we couldn’t find his family, we took him to the vet today. We expected this healthy-looking and healthy-acting kitty to receive a clean bill of health and looked forward to bringing him home to meet our cats who live outside the bathroom. We were totally unprepared and crushed to hear that he tested positive for feline leukemia and FIV. No cat comes with a guarantee for a full, healthy life. I need to find that special person who can find it in their heart to adopt or foster him and let him LIVE the life he’s been given. He’s really having a pretty good time. Suggestions for other avenues to pursue are very welcome! We have fallen in love with him and wish we could keep him.
